What: The Duke MBA Weekend for Women
Date: Thursday, November 3 to Sunday, November 6
Location: Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business, 100 Fuqua Drive, Durham, NC 27708
Cost: No workshop fee. Duke provides room and board. Participants are responsible for travel to and from Duke.
Why Attend: The Weekend for Women incorporates both formal and informal interaction with Fuqua students, alumni, faculty, and administrators. During the weekend you will have the opportunity to:
- Receive an overview of the MBA degree and the factors taken into consideration for admission
- Explore options for financing the MBA degree
- Complete your admissions interview
- Learn about the career planning process and post-MBA opportunities
- Gain valuable insight from our alumnae as they share their Duke MBA experience and discuss the role of the MBA in their career development
- Attend classes to become familiar with our curriculum and teaching style
- Network with current students, faculty, alumni, staff and your future classmates
- Experience The Duke MBA culture outside of the classroom through social events
How to Apply: Complete our brief online questionnaire, which includes one short essay and requires a resume submission. The questionnaire must be submitted by October 3, 2011. The questionnaire is required since space is limited and attendance is by invitation only.
Travel Details: If invited to attend, you should plan to arrive in Durham on the afternoon of Thursday, November 3, and stay until the morning of Sunday, November 6. No formal events are scheduled for Sunday, but hotel accommodations will be provided through Saturday night. All expenses incurred (except travel to and from Duke, incidentals such as personal phone calls, and room service) will be paid by Duke University.
